Our Workshops

We need money for tools, bike parts, consumables, and expanding our programming. We are in the process of becoming a non-profit tax-exempt organization. In the meantime, One Less Car is acting as our fiscal sponsor allowing us to accept your tax-deductable donations. The easiest way to make a donation is online via PayPal using the link below. If you'd prefer to send us a check, make it payable to "One Less Car”.   You may send checks via mail to Velocipede Bike Project, PO Box 22562,  Baltimore, MD 21233

Donate Bicycles or Parts

Bicycle donations accepted during our open shop hours. Any type, any size, and in any condition! We prefer that you donate during shop hours but, we can sometime arrange drop off appointments. Unfortunately we are unable to pick up donations.

Contact us to arrange a drop off.

Donate Bike Tools

Any and all tools can be used! Some examples of helpful tools: bike stands, a large bench vise, allen wrenches (metric), adjustable wrenches (especially large ones), metric wrenches, tire levers, tire patch kits, cable cutters, needle-nosed pliers, and chain tools, 1 or 2 foot lengths of metal pipe (to be used as a leverage tool) wide enough to fit on the end of a large wrench, grease, simple green, etc.

Donate Other Non-Bike Related Tools & Things

We can always use things to help organize the space and make the shop more pleasant.  Some examples are: office supplies (markers, pens, paper etc), a small fridge, building supplies (wood, nails, bike hooks etc), sturdy shelves, glass jars with lids, zipties, rubberbands, a label maker... the list goes on and on.  If you have something you think might be useful, but you're not sure, email us and check, or stop by open shop and ask a collective member.

Donate Your Time

Right now, we need help writing grants, organizing fundraisers, book keeping, staffing the shop, and working with kids on Sundays, building bikes, organizing parts etc, etc.. Bike knowledge is helpful, but anyone can learn and an extra pair of hands is indispensable. Come by during open shop to find out how you can help!!
